Traditionally craft beer has been in glass bottles, but in recent years there has been an increase in the number of craft beer canned products. When starting a brewery, a major cost can be the bottling or canning line. West Coast Canning in Vancouver, BC provide the solution with their mobile canning lines. I spoke with co-owner Matt Leslie about how they started, and if cans are better for craft beer.

Justice Brewing
I’ve traveled down I-5 in Washington State to the city of Everett. Home to the Boeing Assembly plant, this area has seen growth in recent years, including the craft beer scene. Starting in the back shed in 2009, Justice Brewing is a one man project which is seeing some major expansion later this year.

Ecliptic Brewing
In this episode, I’m in Portland, Oregon. Very excited to be visiting Ecliptic Brewing and speaking with Oregon craft beer legend John Harris. We talk about his history in the Oregon craft beer scene, working with McMenamins Hillsdale Brewpub, being the founding Brewmaster at Deschutes Brewery and his 20 years at Full Sail Brewing. We also talked about, of course, Ecliptic Brewing and his ongoing vision for the project.
